Pine Trees

Pine Trees is a community thoughtfully designed to make the most of the beautifully matured tree-scape that has been built on what was once RAF property. Complete with open parkland, a community centre, primary school, sports pitch and play area, the Pine Trees development is a great location to bring up children of all ages.

The development is ideal for commuters with direct trains to London which can be reached in just 30 minutes, while still providing the peaceful village living.

Local High Wycombe, surrounded by the rolling hills of the Chilterns, is only 1.5 miles away and has grown into a 21st century town with excellent retail areas such as the new Eden Shopping Centre and popular supermarkets such as Asda, Sainsbury's and Waitrose; also with a broad selection of schooling locally with primary, secondary, and independent schools in the area.

About the area

Distinct brick and tile architecture and pleasing avenues make this a picturesque neighbourhood. Improved garage sizes and careful attention to car parking with the aim of clear streets allows trees and traditional landscaped front gardens to take front stage. Local High Wycombe, surrounded by the rolling hills of the Chilterns, is only 1.5 miles away. Historically a place of industry ranging from lace and linen, to paper making and chair furniture, now it’s a 21st century town with excellent retail areas such as the Eden Shopping Centre and outlying supermarkets such as Asda, Sainsbury’s, and Waitrose. Three days a week a market is held in the pedestrianised High Street, and stores such as House of Fraser and John Lewis, to restaurants such as Ask to Zizzi provide all you’re looking for.

There is a broad selection of schooling locally with a wide choice of primary, secondary and independent schools in the area, together with Buckinghamshire New University with its cutting edge architecture. Pleasant walks and parks such as Rye park with its outdoor swimming pool, the Rye Lido, provide a pleasant alternative to the bustle of town life. The High Wycombe Leisure Centre with its Olympic-size swimming pool has gym classes and many other activities. Football is played at Adams Park stadium, and nearby clubs such as flying schools provide interesting alternatives to leisure time.

Pine Trees is located just off the M40 with access only 1.6 miles away. The area is highly desirable for commuters as it is just 29 miles from the centre of London. High Wycombe station is less than 1.5 miles away and Heathrow is an easy drive of 21 miles.

Taylor Wimpey continues support of Wycombe Abbey’s STEM Olympics

We are proud to have donated £550 towards Wycombe Abbey’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Olympics, for the second year running.

The STEM Olympics consisted of schools from the local area competing in a number of engineering based activities. During the event, pupils worked in groups to test their teamwork skills whilst undertaking problem solving and creativity tasks.

Our donation contributed to the cost of prizes on the day. All competitors received a branded water bottle for taking part and a total of 12 pupils from the winning teams were awarded with medals, as well as a branded t-shirts or pencil cases. The gold medalists from these teams also won a robotic kit.

Headmistress of Wycombe Abbey, Rhiannon Wilkinson, said: “We are extremely grateful for the donations from Taylor Wimpey towards STEM Olympics over the last two years. The event gives pupils the opportunity to apply their learning in a practical and fun environment whilst building on teamwork skills. It’s a great joy to be able to bring local schools together and this year was again a success.”
