We are pleased to be providing Blyth Valley Disabled Forum’s trio of football teams with their first sponsored kits.
Blyth Valley Disabled Forum enables disabled members of the Blyth community of any age to socialise and participate in sport.
Our donation has paid for the kits and numbering for a total of 24 players across three teams playing in the Mini League.
Richard Simmons, chairman of Blyth Valley Disabled Forum, says: “Our teams were established seven years ago and thanks to their huge popularity, they have since gone from strength to strength leading them to win division one in the North East Ability Counts League last season.
“Thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s generous donation, the team now has a sense of belonging and confidence levels have really shot up amongst the players. The boys welcomed news of Taylor Wimpey’s donation with claps of hands and shouts of joy, and they are extremely excited to sport their new sponsored kits.”
Kirsty McGill, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North East, says: “Here at Taylor Wimpey we pride ourselves on building high quality homes but it is just as important for us to get involved in the communities in which we build.
“As soon as we found out that Blyth Valley Disabled Forum’s football teams were playing with old and mismatched kits, we knew it was important for us to get involved in order to give the players more confidence and raise team spirits.
“All of us at Taylor Wimpey are absolutely delighted to set up a partnership with Blyth Valley Disabled Forum, and we wish all three football teams the very best of luck this season.”
We are building high-quality new homes at our Crofton Grange development in Blyth.
