In support of local charity, Isobel Hospice, our North Thames team hosted a golf day at Dyrham Park Country Club in Barnet to raise funds for the charity. The event took place on Thursday 18th July and raised approximately £20,000 in total.
Isabel Hospice is a dedicated local charity that provides free care to patients with life-limiting illnesses. The charity works alongside other healthcare providers and has a team of doctors, nurses, therapists and counsellors, supported by trained volunteers providing a wide range of support from specially prepared meals to supportive therapy sessions and specialist nursing care.
In order to raise money for Isabel Hospice, our North Thames team were put forward as golf caddies, then an auction took place where teams competing in the golf tournament could bid on who they wanted as their caddie. With clear blue skies on the day, the players had perfect golfing conditions allowing all of the teams to put their best foot forward for the tournament and play some excellent rounds of golf.
Alex Richards, Acting Managing Director for Taylor Wimpey North Thames, said: “Here at Taylor Wimpey we not only pride ourselves on the quality homes we build, but also on the charitable work we do for the communities close to our developments. We are very proud to be able to support Isabel Hospice as they do such important work in the community and it’s our pleasure to give them this donation.”
“With the great weather on the day, everyone who attended was able to enjoy a day of golf in the sunshine, finished off with a closing ceremony where prizes were given out to the winning teams and individuals.”
