The 39th South West Cheshire Scout Group has teamed up with our team in Manchester to upgrade the group’s facilities and safety equipment.
The Sandbach-based Scout group, which is located just a short distance from our Albion Lock development, received a donation of £350 to purchase a brand new dining shelter for the group, as well as a collection of high-visibility vests for all members.
Chris Gardener, Assistant Beaver Section Leader of 39th SWC Scout Group, says: “Safety is at the forefront of our ethos, and it’s imperative that all members sport high-visibility vests during all outdoor activities.
“In addition to the vests, Taylor Wimpey’s donation will enable us to make some much-needed improvements to our camping equipment through the purchase of a new dining shelter, so we can’t thank the company enough.”
The 39th SWC Scout Group is a local organisation that helps young people in the UK to enjoy new adventures, experience the outdoors, interact with others, and gain confidence. Through challenging activities, the scouts strive to change lives, by making a positive impact on the community.
Chloe Dunn, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Manchester, adds: “The Scouts is an incredibly well-respected organisation, and being part of a such a renowned group is a fantastic way for children to learn a number of key skills while exploring the great outdoors.
“It has been a great experience partnering with the group on such an important initiative, and we look forward to working with them again soon.”
Chris concludes: “Donations like this make a huge difference to a local youth group like ours. Our aim is to help the community and we are so grateful for Taylor Wimpey’s generosity.”
Albion Lock currently features a range of three and four-bedroom homes.
