As a way of showing its appreciation to the local community, our Wheatfield Manor team in Staffordshire gave £1,000 towards St Nicholas’ Church of England First School’s Christmas ball. The fundraising event, which took place on Saturday 2 December, received donations from local organisations, which the school will use to buy new exercise equipment for pupils at the school.
The event welcomed parents, friends and local businesses to gather in smart formal wear in a fitting Winter Wonderland themed venue. As well as a three-course meal, entertainment was on hand to ensure that guests had an enjoyable evening.
Ian Tunnicliff, the event organiser, said: “We are extremely grateful for the donation we received from Taylor Wimpey. The health and wellbeing of the children at the school is very important to us, so we were delighted to have received Taylor Wimpey’s support for our Christmas ball. The event was a success and the money raised will go a long way towards improving the school’s exercise equipment.”
Anne Wallace, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Midlands said: “It means a great deal to us to be able to support local events such as this, as we can see how much of an impact it will make within the community. It’s important for children to have the most up-to-date equipment to enable them to stay as active as possible and we’re really pleased that we can help out.”
